The Freeride Map App for your smartphone

More and more freeriders plan out their routes on the computer at home, and then use GPS devices and smartphones for orientation and navigation out on the terrain. That‘s why Freeride Maps are now available in digital form for the first time. When the Scout app (for Android and iPhone) is used in conjunction with the tour planning software Tour Explorer LIVE from MagicMaps, there are no more limits to route planning, navigation across terrain, and tour analysis back home.  Freeride descents can be organised easily from your own PC, updated with the latest weather reports and avalanche situation, and transferred to the smartphone or GPS device using wifi. Likewise, route sections can be imported from the Scout app into Tour Explorer and processed or archived.

Out on the terrain the maps can be displayed on your smartphone, while location is determined by GPS and indicated on the map. These new ways of making use of Freeride Maps make planning and navigation easier and improve safety.
